Philip Donovan

Philip is a Principal at Little in their Orlando office and specializes in high-performance, regenerative design, striving to delicately intervene in the natural ecosystems within which each project exists. Philip’s experience over the past 16 years has been deeply rooted in the design of high-performance, zero-energy, regenerative built environments that are focused on the health and well-being of the building occupants, bioregions, and social communities in which they are embedded. He has served as a Project Architect on three net-zero energy elementary schools including NeoCity Academy, Florida’s first zero energy school, as well as the Architectural Project Lead for the 4Roots Regenerative Agriculture campus that is currently being constructed to achieve a net-positive carbon status. 

Philip is currently a member of the Florida State AIA advisory council on Resilient Design, the Green Energy Taskforce for Miami-Dade County Public schools as well as a member of the Orange County Sustainability and Resiliency Committee. Philip has also served as the associate chair for the Virginia State AIA as well as the Central Virginia chapter of the AIA where, in both positions, he helped found and foster a statewide mentoring program for rising architectural interns. Over the past several years Philip has served as a technical peer reviewer for the Advanced Energy Design Guide for K-12 Schools: Achieving Zero Energy as well as a book reviewer for the USGBC’s Center for Green Schools. Philip has spoken at national and international conferences about high-performance, zero energy, resilient design.
